Tim Bridges has been very helpful to St John's Church Preservation Group.
As a renowned expert on churches and church architecture he provided invaluable advice for the application to English Heritage for listed status.

He promotes his own and other author's writing through his organisation 'Kates Hill Press' and is also a regular on the Poetry and Storytelling circuit.

Michael Taylor grew up in Kates Hill, Dudley and attended St John's Church. He was a leader in St John's Church Youth Club

He has featured St John's Church in seven of his nine novels. Each of them provide  well researched social history as well as wonderful romantic story telling.

Michael is a founder member of St John's Church Preservation Group (2007). 
 The Romantic Novelists' Association

Research by 'The Sunday Mercury' in 1998 revealed that out of 700 members of the Romantic Novelists' Association only 20 were men and, of those, Michael Taylor was the only one who did not use a female pseudonym.

 Perry Beauchamp has been researching the Tipton Slasher for nearly 20 years. His enforced retirement due to Parkinsons Disease prompted him to finally sit down and 'write the book'.
